Refund & Cancellation Policy

Last updated August 2026

This is a plain-language summary provided for transparency and is not legal advice. Final terms will be reviewed by counsel before public launch.

This policy explains how subscription cancellations and refund requests work for Salon Suite Hub (a Mendocino Software product). It is incorporated by reference into our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

1. Cancellation — anytime, same channel

Because you subscribe through your online account, you may cancel through that same account portal at any time. Go to Settings → Billing → Subscription Management → “Cancel subscription,” then confirm.

There is no cancellation fee, and the process is direct — no phone call, retention survey, or extra steps. You keep paid access until the end of your current billing period, then move to the Free plan.

On the Free plan your directory listing, bookings and client records stay, but your own branded website stops serving (including any custom domain pointed at it), and team logins beyond the first are switched off. Nothing is deleted, and upgrading restores both.

The same timing applies to a downgrade: moving to a lower paid plan, or from annual to monthly billing, takes effect at the end of your current billing period rather than immediately, so no period you have paid for is cut short. Upgrades take effect immediately and are charged prorated for the remainder of the period.

2. Automatic renewal & consent

Paid plans (Plus and Premium) renew automatically until cancelled. We obtain your express affirmative consent to these renewal terms at sign-up, before the first charge — including for any free or promotional period.

All subscribers on automatic-renewal plans receive an annual reminder stating the renewal frequency, the exact amount to be charged, and step-by-step cancellation instructions.

3. Refund eligibility

To be considered, a refund request must be submitted within thirty (30) days of the initial transaction or the most recent renewal date.

Refunds are evaluated, and are not guaranteed, based on: (a) a documented, verified inability to access the service due to a systemic failure on our part; or (b) documented duplicate billing or an overcharge relative to your selected plan.

Because access to the software and materials is granted immediately upon activation, subscription fees for a period already used are generally non-refundable.

4. How to request a refund

Contact our support team at Jason@MendocinoSoftware.com with your account username, the transaction ID, and a detailed justification.

We review the request against our billing and technical records. Approved refunds are processed within 7–10 business days to your original payment method.

5. California consumers

Under California Civil Code § 1789.3, California users may contact the Complaint Assistance Unit of the Division of Consumer Services of the California Department of Consumer Affairs in writing at 1625 North Market Boulevard, Suite N-112, Sacramento, California 95834, or by telephone at (800) 952-5210 or (916) 445-1254.

6. Changes & contact

We may update this policy to reflect changes in law or our operations, with notice of material changes via email or the login page.
