Salon Suite Hub, operated by Mendocino Software, does not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. This notice explains your rights under California law and how you can confirm and exercise them.
Notice administration and effective date
Mendocino Software (“Mendocino Software,” “the Company,” “we,” or “us”) provides this notice as the “Business” responsible for processing your personal information under the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act of 2022 (CPRA), and its implementing regulations (collectively, “California Privacy Law”).
This notice is effective as of the “Last updated” date above and applies to visitors, users, and others who reside in the State of California.
Our position: we do not sell or share
Salon Suite Hub does not sell your personal information for monetary or other valuable consideration, and does not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We provide this notice to explain those practices and to make your California opt-out rights easy to understand and exercise.
Because we do not sell or share personal information, there is nothing for most consumers to opt out of. We still honor requests and opt-out preference signals as described below.
Purpose of this notice
This notice fulfills your legal right to opt out of the “selling” or “sharing” of your personal information, as established under Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.100 et seq. It details how you may direct us to stop disseminating your data to third parties for monetary consideration or cross-context behavioral advertising, should our practices ever change.
Key definitions: selling vs. sharing
“Selling” means disclosing, disseminating, making available, transferring, or otherwise communicating a consumer’s personal information to a third party for monetary or other valuable consideration.
“Sharing” means disclosing, disseminating, making available, transferring, or otherwise communicating a consumer’s personal information to a third party for cross-context behavioral advertising, whether or not for monetary or other valuable consideration.
These rights can encompass several categories of personal information, including identifiers (such as real names, aliases, IP addresses, and email addresses), customer records under Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.80(e), commercial information, internet activity, sensitive personal information, and inferences drawn to reflect a consumer’s preferences or characteristics.
Your right to opt out
As a California resident, you have the right to direct Mendocino Software at any time to not sell or share your personal information. Once we receive and confirm a request, we will stop any sale or sharing across all applicable categories.
Children under 16: We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers we actually know are under 16 years of age unless we receive affirmative authorization. Consumers between 13 and 16 may provide this authorization themselves; for consumers under 13, a parent or legal guardian must provide it.
How to submit a request
You may submit a “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” request at any time through our Contact page, or by emailing our privacy team at Jason@MendocinoSoftware.com.
You do not need to create an account to submit a request.
Opt-out preference signals (Global Privacy Control)
We process and honor automated opt-out preference signals, such as the Global Privacy Control (GPC). If our systems detect a valid GPC signal from your browser or device, we treat it as a valid request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for that browser or device. If you are logged into an account with us, we also apply this preference to your account across all devices.
Verification and account requirements
You do not need to create an account with Mendocino Software to exercise your right to opt out. Pursuant to 11 CCR § 7025 and § 7026, we will not require identity verification to process a “Do Not Sell or Share” request, provided we can identify the browser or device to which the request applies. We will only ask for additional information if necessary to complete your request.
Status confirmation and duration
In compliance with §§ 7025(c)(6) and 7026(g), we provide a means for you to confirm that your request has been processed and is being honored.
Once you have opted out, we will respect that decision for at least twelve (12) months, and will not ask you to re-authorize until this period has expired, unless you initiate a transaction that requires such disclosure.
